2017 Wedding Highlights | 2017 Best Wedding Photography

It’s that time of year again! I’m really excited to share my 2017 highlights with you all. This year I’ve done a little slideshow of my 2017 best wedding photography which I hope you’ll enjoy! Some more of my top faves are in the post below if you’d like to have a bit more of a leisurely look through 🙂

What a year!

I photographed a grand total of 32 weddings in 2017, which took me far and wide up and down the UK, and even across to Ireland, where I shot for my good friend Mike O’Sullivan. I was excited to get cracking on what promised to be a lovely year and it certainly didn’t disappoint! Once of the reasons that I love weddings so much is just how different every single one is, I just love the individuality that each couple put into their day, and spending time with so many different lovely, joyful and happy humans every weekend, and sharing so many special moments with them, is truly an absolute pleasure.

I was also really excited to be shortlisted as a Regional Finalist for the Wedding Industry Awards Best Wedding Photographer in the East of England category, and to win the ‘One to Watch’ award at the Four Counties Wedding Awards in November! I was totally bowled over to be named in such a competitive category. I also won a couple of awards for individual photographs, including a Wedding Community Blog picture of the day and a Wedisson Award!

Big thanks to all my gorgeous couples for putting your trust in me to capture your special days, I have had such fun getting to know all of you and have not only found lovely clients but lovely friends in many of you too! You’ll see many of the shots from the weddings featured in this post popping up as blog posts in their own right over the next few months, as I have a lot of catching up to do on the old blogging!

Of course, huge thanks must go to my wonderful husband, Pete, who is so, so supportive and patient in helping me with this crazy career choice – I barely saw him over the summer as I was constantly working – love you lots! Thank you also to my fantastic family and friends for being generally awesome and keeping me sane. And I can’t not thank the amazing community and network of wedding photographers and other wedding industry professionals which I am part of. This bunch of people inspire me and push me daily, so thank you!

If you haven’t booked your wedding photographer yet and you’re taking a look at my highlights, hopefully you like what you see! Please do drop me a line as I would absolutely love to hear all about the plans you have for your big day.
