The historic county of Bedfordshire is a short drive away from me and I love heading over there for a visit! I love the rolling hills, and watching people fly their kites on Dunstable Downs. There’s lots of lovely venues in Bedfordshire, with something for every style of wedding, from pubs to manor houses. Some of my favourite Bedfordshire Wedding venues include The Barns Hotel, with it’s rustic barn and lovely riverside jetty (the sun hits this perfectly with the golden evening sun – gorgeous). Wrest Park and Putteridge Bury are both stunning manor houses based in Bedfordshire, and both have incredible gardens. For those with eclectic tastes, there’s nothing better than the beautiful Shuttleworth House which boasts one one, but three venues for your Bedfordshire Wedding. There’s the grand house (or an outside ceremony in the summer house) the Swiss Garden, and the Collection, where you can celebrate your nuptials amongst historic planes in a real life aircraft hangar! Keeping along the lines of quirky venues, how about Woburn Safari Lodge? You can celebrate your marriage and then grab a few photos with the giraffes! Or if you’re looking for something a little more traditional, Woburn also offers an utterly stunning setting of the Sculpture Gallery – gorgeous light, beautiful architecture and stunning sculptures create the perfect setting for your wedding day.
