Boho Luxe Styled Shoot at Sanctum on the Green, Cookham | Berkshire Wedding Photographer

I’m always looking to learn and grow my skill set as a photographer and business owner, and so I was super excited to head down to Cookham in Berkshire for the fabulous Flourish Workshop last October, hosted by lovely photographers Kelly, Hannah and Kate.

The two day workshop was held at the fabulous Sanctum on the Green, a gorgeous boutique hotel. It was a brilliant couple of days spent learning and laughing. We were plied with tea and LOTS of cake from the start (you won’t hear me complaining!) and it was great to get to know some new people, and other female photographers from across the the UK and even Europe.

After being welcomed with an amazing goody bag full of lovely things, we began the learning! Kelly, Hannah and Kate are super generous with their experience and time, and happy to answer any questions we had about business and photography. We ran through websites, branding, focussing on ideal clients and how they shoot on an actual wedding day, and finished the first day with a delicious meal and lots of chat and getting to know each other!

I was a little sad that I’d driven down rather than taking the opportunity to spend the night in the lovely surroundings of Sanctum on the Green, especially when everyone told me how amazing the breakfast was on the morning of the second day!

I think day two was my favourite part of the workshop as we got to photograph the most amazing styled shoot with incredible suppliers who I just love. I picked up loads of tips on organising my own styled shoot which I will definitely try and apply in the future. But it was fantastic to have the opportunity to take photographs of such a well styled and gorgeous collection of pretty things laid out for us. My heart was also stolen by little Walter, the dachshund puppy who dressed for the occasion in a little bow tie! Check him out below!
