It was a sunny winters day when I met Claire and Dale for their shoot at Willen Lake last year. Because it was just a couple of short, days before Christmas, they were back visiting family in the area. We thought it would be a good idea to catch up while they were around, as Buckinghamshire is a bit closer to me than where they live in Wakefield!

I met Claire and Dale back in February at the National Wedding Show. As we’d not seen each other since, it was lovely to catch up and hear all about their big day. We had a good chat over a large coffee, then ventured out for a walk in the sunshine.

I really love the winter light at this time of year. Sadly it doesn’t happen that often and usually hides behind clouds, so we were lucky to get beautiful sunshine! Without wishing to sound like a lighting bore – the short daylight hours and the angle of the sunshine make for some stunning golden light. As you don’t get this until late in the evening in the summer time, I was keen to make the most of it! Luckily Claire and Dale were happy to oblige!

Very excited for their wedding in July this year – fingers crossed it’s a bit warmer, but just as sunny!
