It’s taken me a little while to catch up with all the blogging I’ve had on my to do list, but I’ve been so excited to share this amazing wedding ever since I shot it back in July. It was a fantastic day from start to finish – featuring a stunning wedding dress, beautiful styling in an English country garden, not one but two scrumptious wedding cakes, and just THE cutest couple – so much love and laughter throughout the day made it one of the most special weddings I’ve shot this year.
The wedding took place in a stunning church in the middle of the Hertfordshire countryside. The anticipation was palpable as the beautiful bride made her entrance accompanied by her bridesmaids – pretty in lovely pastel pink dresses. I think you can really tell from the photographs during the ceremony just how delighted the bride and groom are to be getting married, and that carried on throughout the day, they were so happy and at ease in each other’s company, it was a joy to capture.
After a stunning shower of confetti and bubbles, it was back to the reception, which took place just a short stroll around the corner at the bride’s parents house, in their stunning garden overlooking cornfields, and with an impressive marquee erected to house the festivities. I really loved the styling of this day, with Shakespearean touches as a nod to the brides profession as a teacher.
The guests enjoyed some delicious canapés and drinks, and then it was time for the wedding breakfast, followed by some great speeches. Before the evening party got started, we snuck off into the cornfields at the back of the house to captures some quiet portraits with a beautiful sky as the backdrop.
Then it was party time! I’ve included just a small selection of dancing photos but I think it’s clear how much fun the newlyweds and their guests were having on the dance-floor, and it was certainly a blast to photograph! I loved this country garden wedding in Hertfordshire – if you’re planning your wedding I would love to hear about it! Drop me a line for more information on options for your photography.
