There is so much to love about this beautiful autumnal Dodmoor House Wedding from last year, from the flowers, to the dress, to the cake – just wait and see!
Chloe and Will got married last October in the gorgeous Dodmoor House, which is a beautiful venue in Northampton. They had their ceremony at St Peter’s Church in Weston Favell, which was a short drive away from Chloe’s family home. It was the most beautiful wedding and even the rain didn’t dampen people’s spirits!

Getting ready
Chloe got ready at her mum and dad’s house with her parents and bridesmaids, and the atmosphere was full of excitement and anticipation for the day ahead. I totally fell in love with Chloe’s family dogs who were just SO cute – I wish they could have joined us for the full wedding day!
I was absolutely bowled over when I saw Chloe’s gorgeous bouquet, and the buttonholes and bridesmaids flowers too. In fact, I feel like I’ve not stopped going on about it ever since! It was loose, rustic, autumnal and beautiful and I could have photographed it all day long! The lovely Chloe at Bare Blooms was the lady behind this beautiful creation – you should definitely check her out!
Once the bridal transformation was complete, a few happy tears were shed when Chloe’s dad saw her in her dress for the first time. The bride then jumped into a vintage camper van with her dad and bridesmaids to get to the ceremony.
The ceremony
The ceremony was an intimate service at a beautiful church in Weston Favell. It was so pretty, and a beautiful setting for the couple to exchange vows and become Mr and Mrs! During the ceremony there were several readings from friends and family. It was such a personal service and so beautiful. Chloe and will were just so excited to be finally saying ‘I do’ – and you can really tell that from the photos I think!
Once the couple had officially tied the knot, they exited the church to a cloud of confetti, but also a few rain clouds too! I was particularly impressed that even the bridal party’s brollies matched the colour scheme! The moral of the story here is not to let the rain put a dampener on your confetti moment! I actually love all the brollies as a backdrop to this shot!
The reception
The wedding reception was in the barn at the award winning Dodmoor House. I think Chloe and Will chose the venue because it’s so cosy and relaxed, and they just fell in love with it. It was a autumnal wedding, which was so perfect for the time of year, with lots of beautiful colours that suited the season. I love shooting Dodmoor House weddings because it’s such a pretty venue with got such a great atmosphere.
They had decorated the venue with whisky bottles and flowers. The stationery was all designed and produced by Will who is a designer. It was so personal and really added to the stylish elements of the day.
After a drinks reception and some family photos, dinner was served. They had a slap up meal, which was absolutely delicious. I wasn’t surprised, as Chloe is a food blogger, so I knew it was going to be good!! After the gorgeous cake was cut (seriously – take a look at how amazing it is!), the first dance was a lovely moment, with a song chosen as a surprise for Chloe by Will. Will had also hand made light up letters for the dance floor, which looked amazing! After that it was party time, and they finished off the evening with amazing gourmet toasties from The Jabberwocky street food van!
For me, one of the most memorable parts of the day was just after dinner. It had been fairly rubbish weather all day, but I looked up and suddenly saw the most beautiful sky at sunset! I grabbed the couple for a few more quick pictures because I couldn’t believe how pretty it looked, and was really pleased to create a memorable image for this lovely couple.
The couple
Chloe wore a gorgeous bespoke gown by Nicola Anne Bridal and Will wore a made to measure tweed suit by Walker Slater and they looked absolutely perfect together. Chloe’s flowers were absolutely incredible and created by the wonderful Bare Blooms, and Will’s buttonhole was the perfect embellishment to his suit. I’m still in love with all the styling on this wedding day!
The couple met at school and have been together for years.They got in touch with me after we met at the National Wedding Show way back in 2016, and their enquiry came a while later once they had confirmed the details of their day. They said they wanted a relaxed photographer, and I really liked that they seemed so much fun, so in love, and so excited to celebrate their wedding with their nearest and dearest.
