I caught up with this lovely couple way back in April in advance of their wedding day. Emma and Gavin and I know each other outside of the world of weddings through mutual friends. Whilst they aren’t local to Welwyn Garden City where I live, we’d all been to our friend’s murder mystery party the night before so we thought it was a good opportunity to arrange their Engagement shoot while they were in the area!

I suggested doing their Engagement shoot in the lovely leafy Stanborough Park in Welwyn Garden City. We actually started off capturing some shots in the car park – which sounds odd but I love the tree-lined spaces! We then ambled our way around the lovely lakes, stopping to watch the geese and swans for a bit, before taking a turn around the open field areas. I always like to try and add a bit of colour to my shoots, so we also stopped off behind a lovely blue storage container which provided a lovely colourful backdrop!
Emma and Gavin are a fab couple and very at ease with each other, and being in front of the camera, which was a treat for me! There were a lot of laughs and giggles as they told me about how they met through mutual friends, and I heard all about the plans for their big day at the gorgeous Gaynes Park in Essex. As I’m pretty behind with my blogging, I’ve actually already captured their big day as I write this! It was a fab day and I really can’t wait to share it with you soon!
