Emma & Gavin | Gaynes Park Wedding Photography

After Emma and Gavin’s pre-wedding shoot I had been seriously looking forward to their big day at the gorgeous Gaynes Park in Essex. These two are so at ease with each other and so in love that I just knew their wedding day was going to be totally amazing!

I began the day with Emma and the girls at a nearby Marriott hotel, where the marvellous Philippa Blake was beautifying everyone. There was such a sense of excitement as the preparations were underway for the big day!

Gaynes Park Wedding PhotographerA short while later we all made our way to Gaynes Park where the finishing touches were made to hair and make up. The accommodation at Gaynes Park in the Coach House is so lovely – really luxurious and bright. Emma looked incredible as she got into her beautiful dress, and the finishing touches of a tiara and veil were added. My second photographer, Fiona, helped out by capturing the boys getting ready there too, and there were lots of laughs as the three best men attempted to wind Gavin up by initially putting on some bright purple shirts instead of their white ones!

One of my favourite parts of the day was seeing Emma’s dad’s face as he saw her in her dress for the first time. Such a proud dad moment, and he looked so proud as he walked Emma down the long aisle into the gorgeous Orangery for the wedding ceremony where Gavin was patiently waiting!

The two of them couldn’t keep the smiles off their faces as they exchanged vows during the ceremony, and there was yet more best-man fun when the three guys took their duties quite literally, passing the rings between the three of them in boxes of ever decreasing sizes!

Once the knot was tied…

Once the knot was tied there was a lovely confetti throw as the couple exited the orangery, followed by a drinks reception and group photographs. I took the opportunity to capture some details of the lovely barn – the styling at this wedding was so pretty, and I just loved the floral arrangements that had been put together by the amazing Luke and Lottie Floral Designs. I snuck the newlyweds off for a few photos in the gorgeous gardens of Gaynes Park, which was a nice opportunity for them to enjoy a moment or two together, before they made their entrance back into the main barn for their wedding reception, to great applause and cheering! After some amazing food, and table magic performed by some great magicians (Joseff Badman), the speeches were a highlight of the evening, with lots of laughs from everyone!

Once the tables were cleared, and after some more portraits and a bit of mingling, it was time for the party to start! Mr and Mrs Turnbull and their guests danced the night away to the fabulous Swinging Little Big Band and DJ Terry Lewis, but before I left I grabbed them for one last photo in the pagoda in the gardens which was a lovely closing photo!

I had such a great time capturing Emma and Gavin’s special day at Gaynes Park – thank you to the both of you for having me there as a part of it!
