Below are answers to some of the questions I’m frequently asked by prospective clients. Click below to find the answers!

You’re based in Hertfordshire, but do you travel?
I do indeed, I’m more than happy to travel anywhere to cover your wedding, and I’ve captured weddings across the country in the past. My Collection prices include my travel to your venue within mainland UK, but if you are getting married over 70 miles from where I live (AL7) then to avoid any stress of racing down busy motorways and getting stuck in traffic on the morning of your wedding, I’ll book in at a local B&B or budget hotel. To cover this, I ask that you add £150 to your chosen package to cover two nights of accommodation
What happens if you’re ill on the day?
Touch wood, this has never happened to me. It would have to be something pretty serious to stop  me coming on the day (there’s no way I’m staying in bed with a mild case of the sniffles on your wedding day!) However, it’s good to be prepared, and should the worst happen, the photography community is incredibly supportive and I have a wide network of fabulous photographer friends who would be able to step in at the last minute, so we’d be able to find you a suitable replacement at short notice!
Do you edit your images?
Yes, all my images are lightly edited in my style to help them look their best and bring them together as a single collection of images that beautifully tell the story of your day.
Are you insured?
Absolutely! This is really important. I have Public Liability Insurance up to £5 million, and also Professional Indemnity Insurance to cover any eventuality.
We don’t really like having our photographs taken….
I hear this all the time! In fact, I’m exactly same when I’m in front of the lens myself, so I know how you feel. I definitely don’t go in for ‘say cheese’ photos – those get you the fake smiles that people cringe inwardly doing! I much prefer to get the natural smiles that come from you just being yourselves, and when you look at each other and have a giggle together and I just offer some light direction to help you feel comfortable.. It’s my job to help you feel at ease and enjoy the experience, and lots of my couples tell me that they forget I’m taking their picture after the first five minutes!
Do you shoot weddings overseas?
Yes! I love destinations weddings and am more than happy to discuss your plans and what your after from your photography at your overseas wedding. I ask that you book my Album or Complete Collection, and that you cover flights, two nights of accommodation and a rental car.
We’d like to meet you before we decide – can we?
I’d love to meet you to discuss your photography and hear all about your plans for your big day. We can catch up over a tea or coffee face to face, or alternatively if we can’t make our diaries work or you’re not local to Welwyn Garden City, we can arrange a Skype call. Just drop me a line to discuss.
We love your work – how do we book you?
In order to confirm your booking and secure me for your date, I require a booking fee of £500, and for the two of you to complete a booking form and sign my agreement, all of which can be done online. I just need your full names, addresses and emails first. Once that’s all done, I’m all yours for the big day! Your balance is due 60 days before the date of your wedding.
What should we expect once we’ve booked?
Once you’ve secured me for your wedding date, I’ll be in touch every now and then to see how you’re getting on with the rest of your plans, and if you book my Complete Collection or add an Engagement Shoot to another package, we can schedule that in. At around the time that your balance is due, I’ll send you your wedding questionnaire, which will inform the day plan that I’ll put together for your wedding. We’ll then go through this during your consultation, which is usually done over Skype, or face to face if you’re local.
What’s your favourite kind of wedding to photograph?
It would be so hard for me to pick one particular ‘style’ of wedding to shoot, because every single wedding is totally different and every couple brings something unique and amazing to their day. I suppose my favourite kind of wedding is one where the couple and guests are relaxed and just want to have an amazing day!

I would love to hear all about your wedding
