Hertford Register Office
Wedding Photographer
There are many reasons that my couples choose Hertford Register Office as the location for their wedding day. Many people opt to have small legal ceremonies followed by a big party or wedding celebration elsewhere, particularly if they choose to celebrate on private land which is not licensed for ceremonies. Others just want to have a small, no fuss ceremony surrounded by their close friends and family, with a dinner or afternoon reception at a local restaurant. I’ve captured many different celebrations at Hertford Register Office, all of which have been wonderful in their own ways.
The Register Office itself it situated to the right hand side of the main County Hall building, and the Oak Room is the perfect setting for smaller ceremonies. It can accommodate up to 50 guests (not including the couple and myself as the photographer. The large windows provide beautiful natural light which is perfect from my point of view! Two of the windows look out over the pretty Millennium Garden which is a gorgeous spot for photos after the ceremony, and looks lovely at all times of year with roses blooming in the summer and the foliage turning a gorgeous autumnal reddy brown for autumn weddings.
Alongside the Millennium Gardens, the sheltered cloisters next to the main entrance of County Hall are really wonderful for photos, and I always make a beeline for them right after the ceremony. They are perfect for photos and provide some shelter, should the weather not be on our side.
Some of my favourite photos that I’ve taken at Hertford Register Office Weddings have been in the cloisters/collonade. It’s also the perfect spot for group photographs of your wedding party and family, and even large group shots too, as there are steps to help visibility of larger groups.
Below, you can have a little look at some photos I’ve taken from Hertford Register Office weddings. If you’re looking for a Hertford Register Office Wedding Photographer then I’d really love to hear from you. Whether you’re having a low key small and intimate ceremony with a few people, or a larger ceremony prior to a party style celebration or restaurant/pub reception later in the day, I’d love to chat to you about your day, so please do get in touch to check my availability.
