Burnham Beeches Hotel Wedding Photographer

I first met Julie and Sam at the beginning of 2016 when they contacted me while searching for a Buckinghamshire Wedding photographer. I liked them immediately when we caught up to discuss their plans. They are very laid back and happy, and you can tell they are so much in love! We got to know each other better during their engagement shoot, so by the time their wedding day came around I was super excited on my drive down to Burnham on the morning of the big day!

I began the day with Julie and the girls where I spent a relaxed morning capturing the preparations as they unfolded. My second photographer headed off to capture Sam getting ready with his groomsmen. This included a tense moment when Sam was required to perform a dextrous act of sewing his waistcoat button back on whilst still wearing it. Impressive skills whilst combatting wedding nerves!

Back at Bride HQ Julie was looking radiant as she slipped into her stunning lace gown. I shot over to the beautiful St Peter’s Church in Burnham to capture the arrival of the guests. Many of them were to be found starting the day in the local pub, just next to the church. I captured a shot of the priest emerging from the pub, although I promise he was just rounding up the stragglers before Julie’s arrival!

There was so much excitement as Julie arrived at the church, evident from her glowing smile! Julie made her entrance with a beaming Sam waiting for her at the altar, and the service began. The ceremony flew past – although not without it’s hitches! Sam’s buttonhole became entangled in the lace of the wedding dress after an enthusiastic first kiss! Then the couple made their exit to a thick cloud of confetti, into the grounds of the historic church.

Back at the reception, Burnham Beeches Hotel looked stunning and had been styled beautifully for the big day. Following a delicious meal, it was time for the speeches, and then the cake cutting and first dance. The dance-floor was filled late into the evening to the tune of some choice 90’s club classics. There was also a photo booth, delicious buffet, limbo and a conga line – there was a definite party atmosphere!

This wedding was one of my favourites from 2016 because it incorporated all the reasons that I truly love my job. Fantastic venue, beautiful details, happy guests, but most of all a couple who are so welcoming and so in love. Thank you for letting me a part of your special day!
