Oxford Engagement Photography
I caught up with Laura and Oliver in April for their Oxford City Centre Engagement shoot. We spent a lovely few hours exploring the quaint streets of the city, and taking some cool photos!
Laura and Oliver chose Oxford as the location for their pre-wedding shoot as they met there at university, when they both attended New College. It was lovely to hear their story and how they got together. We also used the opportunity of being in the city centre to visit the Bodleian Library – the location of their wedding! It was really handy to take a look around and have a chat through their plans.
I love Oxford, the architecture is amazing and the little streets offer so much for amazing photos. I particularly enjoyed the photos we took in the corridors of New College and by the Wren Door near the Bodleian libaray – so many awesome places!
Shandy in the sunshine
The weather looked a bit ropey as we met at New College, but I was confident that the cloud would clear, and it did! We were treated to some incredible light towards the end of their session, and we made some lovely portraits at a variety of locations in Oxford. We paused mid-way for a quick shandy in the sunshine too, which I think I might introduce to future engagement shoots, it was lovely! To end the session we had a little walk around the University Parks, including taking some shots on the High Bridge that crosses the river Cherwell. So much choice for photographic awesomeness!
Laura and Oliver’s wedding takes place in Oxford this very weekend, and I can’t wait! I’m sure their wedding photos will be gracing the blog over the next few months, so keep an eye out for them!
