This wedding was something special – set in the idyllic countryside of North Essex, in the gardens of the most beautiful house, and in possibly the biggest marquee I’ve ever seen!
The day began at the local pub with the boys, who had some lunch and a quick drink to steady any nerves. There was a brief moment of panic when the groom struggled to get an internet connection to download the speech he’d written for later in the day from his emails!
At the church, the sun beamed down as the guests arrived – also beaming with excitement for the rest of the day! No photos were permitted during the service, but I managed to sneak a quick one of our grooms reaction as he saw his beautiful bride arriving down the aisle!
I headed back to the reception venue, just around the corner, and had plenty of time to photograph the stunning marquee. I love a marquee at the best of times, but this one was truly spectacular – just look at the gorgeous colours, foliage and beautiful table settings!
No expense was spared as guests enjoyed delicious welcome cocktails followed by a scrumptious meal, but before that I managed to steal the new Mr & Mrs away for ten minutes of portraits together in the beautiful golden sunshine.
After the speeches (I won’t repeat what the best man said to make the groom pull that face but it was definitely amusing!) it was time for a party, with bartenders manning a cocktail bar with some delicious mixes on offer. After a bit of a boogie, it was time for me to head home. What a stunning and memorable day!
