I know everyone always says this, but I can’t believe where the time is going this year. The summer seems to have flown past in a complete blur of sunshine, weddings, editing and baby stuff! As we move into September, things are starting to feel distinctly autumnal, and after all the heat I’m actually quite looking forward to a cooler and less sweaty few weeks!
As always I’ve tried to make time to collate my top five Instagram posts from August 2018, which you can see below. Take a look at my previous monthly top posts here.

This is a quick preview shot that I got ready for one of my stunning August weddings. Laura and Ben were married in Welwyn Garden City and then celebrated with an amazing reception at the beautiful Offley Place. I am so excited to share images from this wedding once it’s ready. Laura & Ben are so chilled out and absolutely gorgeous, and happily popped outside when some golden light came streaming through the trees, even though it was raining!

This post celebrated a blog post that I added in August all about the wedding of Abbey and Dan at the Riverside Marquees in Bray. This particular photo was one of my favourites of the day. We were SO lucky with the weather – after a cloudy start, there was a major downpour just as everyone sat down for dinner, followed by this incredible golden sunshine! I grabbed the new Mr & Mrs for some quick photos in the grounds of Riverside Marquee. Take a look at the full blog here.

These beautiful blooms were from Emma and Matt’s wedding last November at De Vere Theobalds Estate. The weather might have been chilly but I think these gorgeous bouquets really brought a fresh springlike feel to the day! I love how the colours complemented the plum shade of the bridesmaids dresses. I’ll be blogging about this lovely wedding soon so keep your eyes out for more!
#Two
Amy and Mark’s wedding also featured on my blog this month. Taking place at the wonderful Coltsfoot Country Retreat in Datchworth, this day was full of colour, geometric shapes and nods to Mark’s Italian heritage. Once again, the weather was a bit mixed (like many of my 2017 weddings!) and this particular frame captures one of the ushers working particularly hard to keep Amy dry during a shower! Take a look at my blog about their wedding here.
#One
Yesss! I love this image from another of my August weddings – and I LOVE IT! I’m so pleased it was my most popular post on Instagram last month, and that I get to share it again here! I can’t wait to share more from this special wedding, which was more of a ‘family festival’ for the lovely Claire and Martin. It took place at the stunning Brook Farm in Cuffley, with a personal blessing next to the stunning lake down an avenue of trees, followed by an epic party in a tipi, complete with bouncy castle and inflatable helter skelter (who knew these existed!?). This is one of my sneak peek shots for this lovely couple, and it really reflects how much fun they both are – I asked Claire if we could do some shots of her and Martin on the bouncy castle and she was on her way over there almost before I could even finish my sentence! Again, keep an eye out on the blog where this gorgeous wedding will no doubt be making an appearance soon!
So these were my top five instagram posts from August 2018! Which was your favourite one? I love that there’s a mix of weddings that I’ve shared already, along with newer weddings from this year which I’ve yet to share. I can’t wait to get them all up on the blog for you all to see!
