There are so many things I love about the gorgeous Offley Place Country House Hotel, that I could probably write a page twice as long as this! Offley Place is set in the beautiful countryside in the quiet and picturesque village of Offley, not far from Hitchin in Hertfordshire. First built in 1600, the 17th Century manor house has undergone several transformations over the centuries, with the current owners transforming it into a luxury wedding venue. Perhaps one of the most memorable parts of the venue is the gorgeous conservatory with beautiful chandeliers and red brick wall and tapestries. I love how old meets new in this venue. It really gives it such a unique feeling. The conservatory is the perfect location for ceremonies but also for smaller weddings. The new addition of the incredible Hester Ballroom in the grounds of the hotel has really made an already amazing venue into something extra special. The stunning ballroom can seat 250 guests, meaning that the venue is available to much larger weddings than before. Both the conservatory and the Hester Ballroom overlook the beautifully maintained 27 acre gardens, with lovely trees and open space that look fabulous at any time of year, but take it from me, the gardens in the summer evening sunshine look absolutely amazing.
