Back in September, and in advance of their November wedding, I caught up with Sophia, David and their dog Joules at the couple’s farm on the Herts/Cambs/Essex border. I do love a farmyard pre-wedding shoot, and there was lots of lovely land for us to wander around and get some lovely shots!
I’d first met Sophia at a wedding fair waaaay back in 2016, and we’d chatted on and off from that point discussing plans for her wedding to David. Eventually when their plans were finalised, they got back in touch to book me for their winter wedding at the beautiful Hengrave Hall in Suffolk. I will be posting about that wedding next week, so keep your eyes peeled for that!
I absolutely love it when couples involve a pet on their engagement shoot. I find it can take away a level of nerves or any awkwardness that people might feel, as there is an extra focal point of a pooch running around! Joules certainly had lots of energy, and plenty of space to run around and stretch her legs!
I noticed a cool pattern in the way the fields had been cut, so we were sure to do some shots there (with sheep in the background!) and then finished the shoot off in the barns where there was some awesome light and background to be had!
I hope you enjoy looking at this lovely couple’s pre-wedding shoot. They were a little nervous initially I think but so natural in front of the camera, I love these shots and think they look fab!
