One of my favourite local Hertfordshire venues is the stunning South Farm, in Shingay-cum-Wendy, near Royston. This beautiful venue really does have it all. Gorgeous grounds with secret nooks and colourful caravans,  surround a colourful country farmhouse, a lovely Tudor barn, a light and airy bridal suite and a fabulous dance floor in the old Horse Barn. As it’s a working farm – there are even pigs and chickens in the farmyard! At South Farm you have so much flexibility and you can really make your day your own. There’s a choice of a lovely outdoor setting for your ceremony, or the Tudor Barn or Old Dairy if you’d prefer something indoors. Receptions are typically held in the Tudor Barn, and the amazing new Horse Barn. The Horse Barn opened in 2016 and features a glass floor so you can see into the foundations of the old barn – and really get a sense of the building’s history!
