Natalie and James’s Knebworth Barns Wedding was full of pastel tones, love and laughter
Natalie and James got married in August last year at the spectacular Knebworth Barns, attached to the grand Knebworth House in Hertfordshire. I love shooting Knebworth Barns weddings because the grounds are absolutely amazing. There’s just so many pretty spots at all times of year for photos in the gorgeous gardens. I’d met Natalie and James at a wedding fair at Knebworth Barns the previous year, so it was fantastic when their big day finally arrived!
Getting ready
Natalie got ready at her home with her family and bridesmaids. There was an emotional moment when she opened a card and gift from James, which was really sweet and thoughtful of him. The bride then jumped into a fancy wedding car to the ceremony. The car was a surprise and had been organised by her uncle, which was lovely.
The ceremony
The wedding itself was an intimate affair in the Lytton Barn. During the ceremony there were lots of tears from the bride, and from some of the guests too. It was so emotional. The bride’s mother and her aunt read some lovely readings, which added a really personal touch to the ceremony.
After the ceremony
The reception was out in the gorgeous gardens of Knebworth House and the guests enjoyed some reception drinks whilst we took some photographs in the gorgeous surroundings. I also went for a drive with Natalie and James in their lovely wedding car, taking in the surroundings of Knebworth Park, and stopping for some photographs outside the gorgeous grand house. The wedding breakfast took place in the Cobbold Barn, and they decorated the venue with birds and light blue pastel colours, which matched the bridesmaids dresses, flowers and overall theme of the day. It looked so pretty! The first dance was a good old traditional wedding shuffle, and they finished off the evening with a DJ who had everyone dancing.
The most memorable part of the day was when we returned from taking photos outside the house and Natalie and James were greeted with a shower of confetti. I absolutely love the confetti shot!
The couple
Natalie wore a gorgeous dress from The Ivory Wardrobe, which made her look like a real princess, while James wore a very dapper suit and looked really handsome. Natalie’s flowers were very pretty in a structured bouquet with colours to match the wedding theme, and James wore a buttonhole to tie in with this too.
Natalie and James’s wedding was just the happiest occasion and they are such a sweet couple. Here’s their Knebworth Barns wedding!
