Sunny Woodland Engagement Shoot in London | Fiona and Ben

I first met Fiona and Ben at the National Wedding Show in early 2017, when they attended looking for wedding inspiration and to plan their big day. Flash forward one year, and we were booking in their pre-wedding shoot! I really don’t know where the time goes!

I love a pre-wedding shoot with a bit of a background story, and Fiona and Ben’s was great for that reason. They chose to have their shoot in ‘Engagement Woods’ just a stones throw from their home in South London. It’s always so nice to get to know a couple on their pre-wedding shoot and to hear all about their plans for the big day, and it was great to hear all about how Fiona and Ben had met and how Ben had proposed in the very woods that we were wandering in!

The woods that we were visiting were the ones surrounding Lesnes Abbey in South London, and so before venturing up the hill to the woods we spent a bit of time around the ruins of the Abbey and the visitor’s centre. I loved the texture of the walls of the old ruins, and the light was amazing as we met quite early in the morning.

Fiona and Ben are super lovely and really easy to get along with – I know their big day is going to be fantastic!
